Dental Care

We offer routine exams and cleanings (both natural teeth cleaning and denture cleaning), we provide onsite fillings, extractions, and digital x-rays. We offer new complete and partial denture fabrication and denture adjustments, relines, and repairs.

Yes – we can fabricate a denture from start to finish onsite. We can also complete any follow-up visit to ensure that the denture fits and functions well going forward.

We have urgent dental care forms that can be faxed 24/7 to a direct clinical line at any time, as well as a 24/7 clinical urgent care phone line that is monitored continuously. If you have an urgent or sudden dental complication, you will receive a call from a member of our team within 24 hours to determine the next step. We will be able to put you in touch with a DDS if necessary, and the DDS will guide treatment from there.

Yes, they do. Regular cleanings and exams support oral health, and help monitor for gum disease.

Aria can perform simple tooth extractions onsite at skilled nursing facilities. If the visiting dentist doesn’t think it’s possible to safely pull the tooth there, we can help you find additional options.

Studies have shown that bacteria from the mouth can enter a patient’s lungs, increasing his or her risk of pneumonia.1 Poor oral health has also been linked to muscle loss and diabetes and is recognized as a predictor of cardiovascular disease and premature mortality from all causes.2

Vision Care

Yes, they do. A regular eye examination can reveal much about overall health and help prevent further issues. In some cases, such as diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma, the cause of blindness may need monitoring. Also, routine eye care can detect any problems that may cause additional pain or discomfort to an already blind eye.

Yes. In fact, 80% of vision-loss issues are preventable or treatable.1 The best way to help prevent or delay the progression of vision impairments is for seniors aged 60 and up to get a comprehensive eye exam annually.

Poor vision increases a resident's risk of mood disorders—in a recent study, seniors with vision impairments reported experiencing symptoms of depression more than twice as often as those with non-impaired vision – cognitive decline, loss of independence, falls, and early mortality.1

The impact of hearing loss can be far reaching. Studies indicate that over a 10-year period, untreated hearing loss increases a senior’s risk of suffering from dementia by 50%, their risk of experiencing depression by 40%, and their risk of falling by 30%.

Hearing loss has also been shown to cause depression, anxiety, and hostility in seniors,2 as their inability to hear clearly results in their withdrawal from social situations.

Some research even suggests that in residents over the age of 70, each decibel lost to hearing impairment makes them 7% more likely to experience severe loneliness – a side effect that’s considered as dangerous to one’s health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.3 Loneliness has also been linked to high blood pressure, elevated stress hormones, and a weakened immune system.4

Podiatry Care

Currently, Aria doesn’t offer an insurance policy for podiatry care. Aria does offer insurance for dental, vision, and hearing care.

People with diabetes can have nerve damage (neuropathy), and often the feet and legs are affected. When there’s nerve damage, a person might not feel pain, which means they might not notice a blister or sore (ulcer), which left untreated can lead to bigger problems.1

Untreated nerve damage has the potential to lead to “Charcot foot,” which is a pattern of bone damage that can lead to foot deformity.2

One in three seniors has at least one foot problem, with women being more likely to be impacted.1
